Trek's Fuel EXs are the benchmark for trail bikes; the 9.8 27.5 is taking that benchmark to the next level. The carbon frame dishes out 120mm of travel, but that's only a small piece of the package. Stiffness means efficiency and better handling, so you're armed with an E2 head tube and a 142x12mm rear thru-axle. Add to that 27.5-inch wheels, and this bike is quick, capable and maneuverable. Fox and Trek teamed up with F1 racing company Penske to make Fox's brilliant Float Re:activ rear shock even better. Combined with the 34 Float up front, your Fuel is blazingly fast and efficient on smooth sections and shrugs off bigger hits like an enduro rig. The rest of the spec is just as capable: full XT 2x11 gearing, a Reverb dropper post, XT discs, carbon bars, and Bontrager tubeless-ready wheels wrapped with proper tubeless rubber.

For a clean dropper post setup, Trek uses RockShox’s Reverb Stealth dropper seatpost and internal frame routing. The housing runs inside the frame for a clean look and zero hose issues as the saddle moves up and down.
